Q : Why i like reading reyenal's blog?

A: I first discovered sweet eka on youtube while searching for a local make up guru. And boy was i overjoyed to have found her! She was very informative and the best part of all, she proved that with the correct method of application, bargain make up can make you look VA VA VOOM! Her humble and sweet personality drew me into waiting for her every upcoming video on youtube. She became like a virtual make up guru friend that taught me so much. (im still practising that fake eyelashes application!)

She then set up an onsugar account and of course i had to follow! She is a avid blogger with many interesting posts. Besides great product reviews her entries are also fun to read and look, like whenever she brings in her supporting bf! I still cant believe he let her put on mascara on him and recently she did 2 eye look on him!  I met her once and she is a very warm and bubbly girl. I guess her sweet personality and interesting posts that kept me awaiting both her youtube and onsugar entry!

you go girl (:

JB weekend haul (:

Last weekend the family decided to have a mini getaway! And yes we hopped over to Johor as you probably have already guessed. It was just a short stay and we spent it very well.haha.The parents booked a hotel which was very very very incredibly very near to city square and boy what a joy! I love city square so so so freaking much!

However, I didnt spend much since i dont have much and i think that make sense. :P

Whenever i head over to Malaysia i have to check out their watsons.Mainly to compare the prices (see, i am a true spirited singaporean. hehe) and to check out on items that we cant find in Singapore. Yeap. And this caught my eye!

Watson's Soft facial puff. I dont think they have it here. Do they? Anyways, it was such a good bargain. It was ard RM 2.95.I know, like wow right?

"Watsons Facial Puffs are made of lint free, air-laid non wooven fabric which is highly absorbent and soft on your skin, ideal for all your cosmetic and skincare needs. Main material : Non wooven fabric." - taken from the box

And yes, it is not made from cotton but rather non wooven fabric as mentioned above. Non wooven fabric. *raises eyebrow* i have no clue that that is even a material. haha. Anyways, here's a close up on how it looks like

This is weird but it reminded me of those japanese dust wipes. You know those japanese house mops thing? The kind u have to attach the wipe to the bottom of the broom thing? haha. Am i even making sense here.I hope you get the correct picture but ya, it reminded me of that. BUT IT IS NOT. haha. It is very soft and super absorbent! I do not have to use up so much of my toner now.WELL DONE WATSONS! And i simply adore the packaging. The cardboard box is neat! It makes it super easy when i need to use it.And plus, cardboard box can be recycled! (:

So next i got myself  Fruit of the Earth Aloe Vera Gel.

My eyes screamed in joy when they saw the price tag. It was only RM12.90! *another OMG moment* haha. I was really shocked cause the tiny bottle that they sell in watsons here was $5.20. So yes, i have to get it just cause of the price. HAHA. and i wonder why they call singaporeans kiasu *bites lips*

Next, my very first visit to ELIANTO! haha. was really happy with the service. The lovely ladies that served me was really really very friendly and nice and most importantly approachable (: YAY to that. I was really excited to check out the products after i heard so much about it online. And soon after dearest eka (reyenal) gave me the elianto baked blush which i immediately fell in love with, i knew i have to check them out (: And yes, i do know  that they have a store here in Tampines Mall, but i havent had the time to go there yet so yeap.

I got myself their Vibrant Eyeshadow in 06 Golden Yellow (RM 6), Pearl Shine Shadow in 08 Aquamarine (RM 8), Bake Blush in 03 Natural Purple (RM 22), Cream concealer in 02 ( I have forgotten this one but im positive its ard RM 20) and the Glitter Liquid Eye Liner in 01 Black ( My memory really sucks, but i am sure it is around RM18)

And the best part of it all, there were 20% of for most of the items in the store! haha and that includes my baked blush and eyeliner. Do note that the prices above is BEFORE the discount (: Here's the swatches,

I am really loving the baked blush and the blue eyeshadow. The yellow one is kinda chalky but the blue one has this nice soft sheen to it. The eyeliner is dissapointing cause i tried it on this morning and it looks normal. NOPE. NO GLITTER. Im angry.GRRR.And no comments for the concealer yet cause i havent really tried it out yet.

Next, (im pretty excited about this one) i got myself this pretty 8 color eyeshadow palette from VOV (:

CANDY eyeshadow in no 4 RM 20.90

I found this lovely palette while at kota raya. It was one of those small shop that sells cheap make up and i was wowed. I have seen VOV's powder in chameleon and other beauty shops but i cant recall to have seen this palettes before. Maybe i missed it. But anyways, i love how vibrant the colours are and for 20.90 ringgit i have to try it out.  And yes, the pigmentation is crazy! (:

Lastly i visited sinma and got myself a couple of good bargain! (:

Scarlet Eyeliner RM 9.00 and Brush RM 4.00

The top swatch is another swatch of Elianto Glitter eyeliner and the bottom swatch is by Scarlet Eyeliner.

Awesome huh? I love how BLACK it is and its WATERPROOF! PLUS SMUDGEPROOF! And it Hands down win over my maybelline's liquid liner by a gazillion times i tell you. HAH. Seriously, this liner doesnt BUGDE at all. NO SMUDGE. I cant tell you how happy i am. Plus it has this fruity scent to it. And no it doesnt sting my eye (: The only boo boo about this liner is that it will flake. But thats really nothing actually. For RM 9.00 this is probably the best make up bargain i ever came across! (:

So yes, thats my JB haul! (:

and oh yes, my concealer (15 pallette, Elianto, Za and Maybelline) review coming up soon!

Make up shop Brush Set

This came in the mail this mornig, and i couldnt be happier (: Finally i have a decent set of brushes to play around with. :)) So i got this on ebay for 20 bucks inclusive of postage and i have to say it has to be one of my BEST online buys.

Here they are (: Isnt it lovely? Haha. As mentioned on the box, it is a 7 piece brush set. It consist of a powder brush, blush brush, eyeshadow brush, crease brush, eyeliner brush, lipliner brush and a spooly :) I love how it is packed nicely in a waterproof pouch. It is really convenient for travel :)

The brushes are made from animal hair, but of what animal i dun really know. But i've checked and i am pretty sure its not human, so thats good. (im trying to make a joke here people. please sympathize and laugh along. haha)

And so here are some close up of a few of the brushes,

The powder brush

The blush brush

The crease brush

YAY so happy (:hee. I havent really tried it out yet but i did test it on my face and i wont lie and say it is the softest brush ever! cause that would be a lie. haha. but it is decent enough :) its not scratchy nor it is rough. However it is not as soft as the edm, body shop brushes. I cant compare it with any MAC brushes cause i dont owned any. So yeap.

I wonder whether any of you onsugarretes do own this? Do you?

HAUUUL.

haha, its been quite a while since i shopped online. and now i realised why i stopped. MY GOD! Its addictive LAH! And with the holidays now, i am actually afraid of losing my sanity to it. grrrr. haha. but its not that bad, afterall it DOES bring me JOY (:

So here it is (:

And oh btw, the skull is not part of the online buy. haha i saw it lying around and decided that it is too cute not to be included in the photo. haha.

Okay, so lets start with the most obvious. I FINALLY got the oh so famous, palgantong make-up lose powder. YAY. and for only 3 bucks! how can i not be happy you tell me? haha. when i saw it retailing at sasa for 15.80, I GOT HAPPIER! i saved 12 freaking bucks people (:

I also got the laneige miniture set for 10 bucks :) hee, cant wait to try it out. And since im on the hunt for the perfect concealer, i decided to give edm multi tasking concealer a try. Again i got it for a steal at 6 bucks. It was half full tho :)

Next, i got the make up shop brush set for $20! Yay ness again. However i do not know whether it is the real or fake cause i never been to make up shop  before. But fake or not, im happy with the brushes (: Plus it is OH SO CUTE.

Lastly, the item that i am most most most excited about is

its EGYPTIAN MAGIC CREAM!

haha, okay lah i dunno why im so excited. I've seen bubz and tao's youtube videos on this baby and i was so tempted i had to try it. I got this on ebay for 16.20 for a 30ml sample. I wanted to get the full tub but im afraid i would break out or smth and thus i got the sample. It has been 3 days since i started using this and mama mia i am loving it. i will ( imean it, i will) do a full review on this after 2 weeks and let you guys know okay. haha.

LIPS of the day.

If you have been following my not-so-frequent entries in this blog you will come to realise that my make up is really simple.I think i made it clear that im afraid of eyeshadows.haha. Somehow i tend to mess it up EVERY SINGLE FREAKING time im doing it? But im not giving up tho. NEVER. So yes, im only left with the cheeks and lips for me to play around with.

I wanted to call it LOOK of the day, but since its just minimal i guess LIPS of the day is more appropriate (:

But before i post the Lips - OTD up, here's an interesting story about how i got the lip colour. I was clearing up my make up stash and i found this tiny box of beauty basics kit that i got from watsons a while back for $3. It was one of those impulsive buys. They had a mini lip pallete, eyeshadow colors and blushes. Honestly i found no purpose in keeping the kit untill recently.

They had this HOT PINK blush which i adore. But its too bright for my skin tone. I was contemplating to myself whether to throw it away or not and was subconsciously playing around with it. ( see, this is why i never get my room clean! ) And thank god i did cause it made such a great LIP color! haha

Thats the blush im talking about. Its more intense in real life. haha. sorry for the untidiness -_-

So yeap, its such a pretty pink right! haha, i applied it on with a brush after i glided on my lipbalm and i really love how it turned out (:

The only bad thing is that the intensity wears off after a few hours but i dont mind the hassle of brushing it back since i LOVE the colour super duper much. haha. so yes, DONT THROW YOUR BLUSHES!

Just a short Review : Revlon Double Twist Mascara

By yanie · October 28, 2009 · 12 Comments · 325 Views

Revlon had recently came up with a new mascara and since its red, i HAD to buy it. HAH. Here are some pictures of it. Btw, it is FAT . Somehow something about FAT tubed mascara seemed promising. haha.

loving the rubber bristle

Before

After

Verdict : Im loving it (:

The Bad : The super fat bristle made it hard to reach the inner corner lashes. Over coating may cause it to get clumpy

The Good : By far it is the most volumising mascara i owned. Lengthen as promised. I love how it is not wet but dry thus application is not messy. AND ITS RED!

yeap. thats all. told you its short. (:

boo.
